🌌 The War Within - Season 3: Gear, Delves & The Great Vault Explained 🔥

Season 3 of The War Within is finally here, and it’s bringing a whole new way to gear up — especially with the introduction of Delves.

But there’s one BIG change you need to know:

🛑 At the start of Season 3, Hero gear in the Great Vault can ONLY come from Delves.
No Hero-level gear from Mythic+ or Raid until the actual season content launches!

🧭 What Are Delves?

Delves are short, instanced adventures you can run solo or with a friend — kind of like bite-sized Mythic+ dungeons, but with their own unique mechanics and companions.

• They scale in difficulty (like M+)

• You choose a companion to assist you

• There are different objectives and loot at each tier

🗝️ How Delves Work with the Great Vault

In Season 3, Delves are now a valid source for Great Vault rewards. Just like Mythic+ and Raid rows, there’s now a Delves row in the Vault.

So, if you’re aiming for powerful rewards in week 1 — Delves are your ONLY source for Hero-level gear from the Vault.

⚔️ Gearing Strategy in Week 1

Since Mythic+ and Raids won’t be available immediately:

• Focus on Delves early on

• Target high-tier Delves to maximize ilvl drops

• Fill your Vault row with 8 completed Delves for best loot chance

Once M+ and Raids unlock later in the week, you’ll already be ahead with solid gear from the Vault — thanks to Delves.

Bring a good companion, clear 8 Delves, and secure that early Vault gear. It’s your best edge going into Mythic+ and Raid openings.
